Cyber bullying is a type of bullying which is very much prevalent amongst the youth today and something about which teens are aware. When the youth were asked regarding the reasons behind cyber bullying, the most common ones included doing it to get back at someone or because believed that the victim deserved it. These were amongst the highest rated reasons for committing the act.



Along with this, other reasons included cyber bullying as being part of having fun and to enjoy with friends; it being a way in which friends could be impressed; some simply did it to be mean to the other individual and to show that they have power and control; some even did it on purpose to embarrass their victims. While these were the common reasons for cyber bullying, some even had their own personal reason for engaging in cyber bullying which were not commonly found nor were they openly stated.
