在黑眼豆豆合唱團演唱會的主辦單位布洛克兄弟表示，只要風勢不大、安全無虞，25日的演唱就照常舉行後,歌迷們總算是可以放心了...現在只求颱風快閃(感覺上這個颱風對北部沒啥影響....)。
洛杉磯初出茅廬的黑眼豆豆合唱團，是一支深受靈魂樂、爵士樂與拉丁節奏與現場演唱精神所啟發的放克/嘻哈隊伍，剛開始的團員是由will.i.am、apl.de.ap、Taboo 三位團員所組成，在1998年與2000年先後發行了兩張獲音樂評論網站All Music Guide四顆星喝采的專輯「Behind The Front」與「Bridging The Gap」，他們跨越類型音樂，並多元採擷拉丁、印地安、亞洲民族旋律的音樂地球村創作態度深獲音樂人肯定，第2張專輯「Bridging The Gap」就吸引了難民營合唱團(The Fugees)創作主將懷克里夫金(Wyclef Jean)與DJ Premiere攜手掌舵製作大任，其中與葛萊美獎最佳女歌手得主梅西葛蕾(Macy Gray)合唱的"Request Line"攀登饒舌單曲榜亞軍。可惜的是,兩張專輯都是叫好不叫座...加起來的銷售量不到50萬張...

2003年樂團亮出了全新力作【Elephunk放克大象】，樂團有了新朋友—來自洛杉磯的Fergie，Fergie曾經是女子樂團”野蘭花”成員之一，卻因大家在錄音室磨出驚人的火花，進而獲邀加入黑眼豆豆合唱團。此輯中的首支主打，請來超級男孩合唱團單飛巨星賈斯汀(Justin Timberlake)友情獻聲，呼籲世人拋開成見、散播真愛關懷的冠軍單曲"Where Is The Love",這首歌推出後讓人有發自內心的深省,也因此在市場大賣。
