For those interested to visit the peak of Mt Kinabalu, the whole trail spans about 8.6 ~ 10km (depending on your starting point). The initial part are largely gentle slopes or steps which is relatively easy to go through if you have sufficient endurance. The trail approaching summit will however be much tougher. Mostly are steep slope and almost whole area is uncovered rocks. Some can be quite slippy. Very strong ropes are available for you as handle and direction guidance. The most difficult part is actually one's endurance limit. Low temperature, strong wind and sometimes accompanied by rain will further challenge your already exhausted body strength. Bear with it, reaching the peak will bring you extreme satisfaction!
